Bulgarian security forces carried out an extensive search of a passenger plane that arrived in Sofia from Israel on Tuesday, after an email claimed a bomb had been planted on board. Authorities said nothing suspicious was found and ruled out any terror-related incident, believing the email was a hoax. The scare was one of several false bomb alarms across Europe on Tuesday, which officials believe may be part of a coordinated campaign against European air traffic.
