A New York City intersection has been renamed in honor of NYPD Officer John William Perry, who was killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks. Madison Avenue and East 101st Street was officially renamed for Officer Perry, with his brother and sister unveiling the new street sign. Perry was the last of the 23 NYPD officers killed on 9/11 to be identified. He was working in the Bronx and was off duty that day, but rushed to police headquarters after hearing about the attacks. Officer Perry was also a lawyer and dedicated his life to serving New York City. 25 years later, his family says the pain is still there — but so is his legacy. Never forget. 🇺🇸🕊️
