Oman has presented a compromise solution to Iran that would allow the strait of Hormuz to reopen, based around the strait of Malacca: it would include the collection of voluntary fees covering cost of management.
The proposal is quite similar to a compromise Oman floated a few weeks ago, though it now reportedly has GCC buy-in.
