Doctors in Detroit and New York are warning about a surge in serious brain and facial injuries linked to e-bike crashes. At one NYC hospital, e-bike and scooter injuries went from under 10% of trauma cases in 2018 to over 50% by 2023 — with pedestrians often suffering the worst injuries.
