Nearly 20,000 NYC taxi, Uber, and Lyft drivers have won a $140 million settlement in a 20-year-old lawsuit against the city. The suit challenged a rule that let officials suspend their licenses just for being arrested — even without a conviction — and with little chance to appeal. Payouts could reach up to $36,000 per driver.
