New Jersey is split on police license plate cameras. A new Rutgers poll found 50% of residents oppose the cameras in their towns, while 44% support them. But most want tighter rules: 78% want police searches audited monthly instead of yearly, 69% want a warrant required to search the data, and 66% want it deleted after six months instead of the three years allowed now.
