Breaking: Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, is investigating a suspected hacking attack after approximately $2.8 billion in digital assets was transferred from wallets linked to the platform. The transfers sparked fears of a major security breach, with cryptocurrency firms Tether and Circle reportedly freezing around $1.8 billion in assets linked to the incident. Binance founder Changpeng Zhao said the activity appeared to be a hack, but reassured customers that their funds were safe. Binance says it is urgently investigating the incident but has not yet confirmed any impact on customer funds.
