UK: King Charles has reportedly paid Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s £1.5 million repair bill for his former Royal Lodge home in Windsor. The money is understood to have come from the King’s private income and covers the amount Andrew owed the Crown Estate after surrendering his lease more than 50 years early. The original £1.8 million bill for the property’s poor condition was reduced by approximately £300,000 in compensation Andrew was entitled to for ending his lease early. The Crown Estate confirmed that Andrew received no money when his lease ended and that it has received the outstanding £1.5 million. Join EJN:
