Europe: Dozens of supermarkets across six European countries have been hit by a suspected cyberattack targeting their refrigerators and freezers, forcing shops to throw away millions of euros worth of food. Around 40 Delhaize supermarkets in Belgium and Luxembourg were affected, alongside shops in Sweden, Ireland, the Netherlands and Estonia. According to a Belgian refrigeration company, the attackers switched the affected units into defrost mode, causing temperatures to rise and food to spoil. The incident follows a similar cyberattack affecting hundreds of French supermarkets last month. It remains unclear who is responsible.
