FJCC Update: NYC Trash Bin Requirements As many of you are aware, enforcement of the new NYC sanitation bin rules went into effect on September 8. This law applies to both private homes and shuls, prohibiting the placement of trash bags outside the official, closed bins. The FJCC has been advocating for understanding and sensitivity with senior City officials regarding the holiday period. The City has been responsive to our outreach and said they will “exercise maximum discretion during the holidays and the Sabbath." Please let us know if you are aware of any issues during this period.
