NYC health officials say they are confident the source of the recent Legionnaires' disease outbreak has been eliminated after five deaths and 89 reported cases. Officials tested 183 cooling towers, with 57 found to contain Legionella bacteria. All affected towers were cleaned and disinfected, and no new cases have been diagnosed since July 15. Health officials urge anyone experiencing flu-like symptoms to seek medical attention.
